Management Council

The Rattan Association of Cambodia (RAC) is an association registered under Cambodian law that is operated by a management council. The guiding body of the Association is the Council, which represents RAC’s membership and administers RAC’s affairs.
 

The Council consists of 5 to 9 persons, elected every 3 years by majority vote at the Annual General Meeting. The Role and Responsibility of each council member is described in the constitution and Bylaw of the RAC.
 

Mr Lip CheangMr. Lip Cheang, Chairman

Mr. Cheang, also the owner of Cambodia Modern Rattan Handicraft, has more than 20 years of experience in operating and running rattan businesses. He produces all types of furniture products; most supply the local market and neighboring countries, while the rest is exported for the international market.
 

Mr Ploeut BunnaruonMr. Ploeut Bunnaruon, Vice Chairman

Mr. Bunnaruon is the General Manger of Chan SopheakRattan Handicraft. Since 2000, he has operated and run rattan business, and he produces a wide range of furniture types that are sold on the local market and in neighboring countries.
 

 

Mr Sovan PisethMr. Sovan Piseth, Treasurer

Mr. Piseth is the General Manager of Khmer Rajana Rattan Handicraft. For more than 10 years he has produced all types of rattan furniture, along with bamboo and water hyacinth products, for export to the local market and overseas (US and France).
 



Mrs. Kouy Meng, MembershipMrs Kouy Meng

Mrs. Meng, the owner of Kuy Meng Rattan Handicraft, has more than 16 years of experience in the rattan industry. Her business crafts a vast range of rattan furniture products such as beds, chairs, tables, closets, and other products to supply the local market in Phnom Penh and Preah Sihanouk Province.
 


Mrs Mouy NuyMrs. Mouy Ny, Administration

Mrs. Ny is the owner of Veng Hout Rattan Handicraft. She has over 15 years of experience in operating and running rattan businesses for the local market.
